Day 1. Kutaisi

Day 2. Kutaisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi

Breakfast. • Departure to Mtskheta • Excursion in old town Mtskheta - Mtskheta founded in the first half of I millennium BC With the IV century BC since the formation of the East Georgian kingdom, the city became the capital. Monuments of Mtskheta included in UNESCO World Heritage. • Visit Jvari Monastery which is a sixth-century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. Along with other historic structures of Mtskheta, it is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO • The Svetitskhoveli Cat There is an Orthodox Christian cathedral located in the the historic town of Mtskheta, Georgia, to the northwest of the Georgian capital Tbilisi. Day 3. Tbilisi

NOTE: This tour is mostly walking and takes about 4-5 hours. Metekhi Church and Monument of King Vakhtang Gorgasali - the legendary founder of Tbilisi. Visit Europe Square to take a cable car toward Narikala Fortress and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Continue excursion to Legvtakhevi and Sulfur bath district. Visit Meydan – the central area, which used to be a shopping area of the city and nowadays is surrounded by cafes – bars. Sharden area - full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine-tasting bars, and souvenir shops. Optional: Visit the Wine museum - 10 EUR per person. The building where this museum is situated was built in the 17th century and was known as Karvasla - an underground city, which remained preserved without any significant damage. Optional: Wine tasting 10 EUR Optional: Cofee break – 5 EUR Continue the excursion and Cross the Glass Bridge of Peace. Walk up Shavteli street which leads to Anchiskhati church - a three-span basilica, divided by two abutments that indicate the antiquity of its construction. Nearby situated a uniquely decorated building Clock Tower and Marionette Theatre. There is a small puppet theatre inside the tower and twice a day at noon and at 7 pm you can see a 5-minute show – “The Circle of Life”. Free evening. Day 4. Kakheti – wine region

Breakfast • Departure to a Wine Region - Kakheti • Visit Bodbe monastery - monastery complex of St. George and the grave of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia. By the wish bathing in the holy waters of the miraculous source, that heals the sick. • Wine tasting and Masterclass of making Georgian food. • Optional offer: Lunch in Sighnagi (10 Euro per person) • Excursion in Sighnagi - The The Georgian town of Sighnaghi is in the eastern p art of Kakheti and is known as the City of Love. Sighnaghi was also one of Georgia’s many stops along the ancient Silk Road. Sighnaghi is just over an hour away from Tbilisi, which makes it a good escape from the busy life of the city. Many day trips and short excursions travel to Sighnaghi. • Visit the wine factory for degustation of Georgian wine. • Drive back to Tbilisi • Free evening. • Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5. Ananuri – Gudauri – Stephantsminda (Kazbegi) – Tbilisi

Breakfast. • Departure to Stephantsminda (Kazbegi) • Visit Ananuri castle – Ananuri a castle complex on the Aragvi River in Georgia, about 45 miles from Tbilisi. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty that ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles • Visit Dariali gorge – The Darial Gorge is a river gorge on the border between Russia and Georgia. It is at the east base of Mount Kazbegi, south of present-day Vladikavkaz. The gorge was carved by the river Terek, and is approximately 13 kilometers long • Optional offer: Lunch – 10 EUR / Dinner – 15 EUR per person with local dishes + Georgian beer. • Optional offer: Masterclass of making Khinkali (Georgian dumpling) – 10 Euro per person • Visit Gergeti trinity church by 4x4 Jeeps - This architectural complex from the XIV century is in the village of Gergeti, at a height of 2200 m. The complex includes Holy Trinity Cathedral, constructed in the XIV century, the bell tower, and clergy houses from the XV century. Kazbegi is a beautiful place to visit, the nature and the mountains make the view from the church breathtaking. • Drive back to Tbilisi. • Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 6. Tbilisi - Uplistikhe – Batumi

Breakfast • Departure to Uplistikhe this is an abandoned rock-hewn town, which once played an an important role in Georgian history. The place was founded in the late Bronze Age, around 1000 BC, and continued to be inhabited until the 13th century AD. Between the 6th century BC and the 11th century AD, Uplistsikhe was one of the most important political and religious centers of pre- Christian Kartli – one of the predecessors of the Georgian state • Optional offer: lunch in a wine cellar with degustation of Georgian wine (15 Euro per person)• Departure to Batumi - the Black Sea resort and port city situated in a subtropical zone. The city is lined with palm trees and surrounded by mountains. Day 7. Batumi

Breakfast • City tour in Batumi • Old Batumi - Batumi, with its first-rank port and well-developed industry held a significant place in Georgia and the Caucasus as one of the most important transit and industrial centers. A lot of European commercial and industrial companies such as, “O.F.Gillard”, “Siemens and Halske”, “Schuft and Zimmerman”, “Varneke and Company”, ”Nobel Brothers” were doing their business in Batumi. • Visit Georgian Alphabetic Tower – 130 m tall, the tower aims to introduce the unique and rich culture of the country to the world. • “6 May Park“ and the Nurigeli Lake. “6 May Park“ is one of the charms of Batumi. The Park is situated around Nurigeli Lake. • Holy Mother Virgin’s Nativity Cathedral. In XIX century the famous Georgian catholic benefactors, the Zubalashvili brothers, built a cathedral. Today it is known as Holy Mother Virgin’s Nativity Cathedral. • Visit One of the major tourist sightseeing – «Batumi Piazza» fully implemented in the Italian style. This is a small area, where are located several restaurants and small boutique hotels. Every corner of the city is different. • Sculpture of Love “Ali and Nino”. The Love statue which was built on the Coast in Batumi Seaside Park is based on one of the best-seller novels of Kurban Said. The height of the statue is 9 m and it weighs 7 tons. • Batumi Sea Port – the largest port in Georgia and it serves as the significant oil exporter point. • Have dinner with local dishes, wine, and folklore – Georgian songs and dances.
