DAY 1: TBILISI
NOTE: This tour is mostly walking and takes about 4-5 hours.
Metekhi Church and Monument of King Vakhtang Gorgasali - the legendary founder of Tbilisi.
Visit Europe Square to take a cable car toward Narikala Fortress and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.
Continue excursion to Legvtakhevi and Sulfur bath district.
Visit Meydan – the central area, which used to be a shopping area of the city and nowadays is surrounded by cafes – bars.
Sharden area - full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine-tasting bars, and souvenir shops.
Optional: Visit the Wine museum - 10 EUR per person. The building where this museum is situated was built in the 17th century and was known as Karvasla - an underground city, which remained preserved without any significant damage.

Continue the excursion and Cross the Glass Bridge of Peace.
Walk up Shavteli street which leads to Anchiskhati church - a three-span basilica, divided by two abutments that indicate the antiquity of its construction.
Nearby situated a uniquely decorated building Clock Tower and Marionette Theatre. There is a small puppet theatre inside the tower and twice a day at noon and at 7 pm you can see a 5-minute show – “The Circle of Life”.

Overnight in Tbilisi. Day 2: Atskuri ranger station - Amarati tourist shelter
views as well as the possibility to climb Sametskhvario, the highest
mountain in the park. Distance: 54 km Duration: 4 days The route starts from the Atskuri ranger station. After 1km you will see the cage of the Capra aegagrus. After 3 hours from the start, you can enjoy the magnificent views.
At the end of the first day,
the trail descends to the Amarati Tourist shelter.

On 3rd day from the
Sametshvareo tourist shelter,
the path becomes easier.
The trail goes down all day. On the path, you will meet mount
Rkinis Jvari where according to
legend, St. Andrew the First-Called built the Iron Cross. Overnight in camping tents Near the shelter. Day 5: Sakhvlari tourist shelter - Marelisi guard shelter

Departure to Tbilisi.
Excursion in Mtskheta on the way - Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities of
Georgia. It is located approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of Tbilisi, at
the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. The two sights we are going to
see: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) and Jvari Monastery (6th century)
in Mtskheta are amongst the most significant monuments of Georgian Christian
architecture
Visit: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - This Georgian architectural wonder dating back
to the XI century has served as the religious center of the country for hundreds of
years. The complex includes a church, a gate, a bell tower, castles, and clerical
residences. The mantles of Christ and of the Prophet Elijah are both preserved in
the
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. The tombs of Tbilisi's founder, King Vakhtang Gorgasali is also inside the building. The cathedral is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list.
Visit Jvari Monastery - Jvari Monastery is a sixth-century Georgian Orthodox monastery
near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. Along with other historic structures of Mtskheta, it is listed
as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Jvari is a rare case of the Early Medieval Georgian
church that survived to the present-day almost unchanged.

The Georgian town of Sighnaghi is in
the eastern part of Kakheti. City of
wine and love, as it is called
in recent years, is very much
appealing to those who are tired of
rush and hustle, and like
everything is lovely, cute, and small.
Walking through Sighnaghi, you might feel like in Italy - the architecture is pretty similar to small Italian towns. Romantic cobbled streets carved
balconies, 24/7 marriage registration. Accommodation.

Overnight in Kakheti. Day 8. Sighnaghi – Kvareli – Gremi – Tbilisi
Breakfast.
Departure to Kvareli. Excursion winery Tunnel - The largest storage of Georgian wines
kept in the 7.7 km long tunnel-shaped wine cellar which consists
of 2 large parallel tunnels linked with 13 small galleries.
The dampness of 70% and the ideal
temperature (12-14˚C) for storing and aging wine stays throughout
the year. Wine degustation. Visit Gremi - Gremi is situated in the Kvareli region. Built by Levan, King of Kakhetians in the 16th century was an important town in the Kakheti region in the middle ages. In the 15th century, Gremi was the residence of the Kakheti Royal
family. The construction occupies over 50 hectares of space and is erected on
the site, featuring highly contrasting reliefs. The construction is encircled by the
wall with thousands of inbuilt significant facilities, the major of them being the Domed
Church of Archangel, built-in 1565. The frescoes and inscriptions of the church
date back to the 16th c.
