The journey consists of two parts: Day 1 to 6 (16/09 to 21/09), exploration of the country and the mystery of Caucasian Ancients (with German speaking tour guide, the author accompanies the tour) Day 7 to 10 (22/09 to 25/09) a 4-days workshop on modern and dynamic aging in the wine region Kakheti (the workshop is in the German language). 25/09 - Day 1. Tbilisi.

25/09 - Day 1. Tbilisi. Arrival in Tbilisi. Transfer from the airport. Early check-in at the hotel (if needed) from 06:00 a.m. Free time for leisure 11:00 – 16:00 Tbilisi city tour Narikhala Fortress –exists since the mid-4th century. The fortress is built on a hill, therefore there is a splendid View of the old city. We take a one-way Cable-Car and for return - a staircase that leads straight to Legvtakhevi. District sulfur baths and Legvtahevi – is in the center of the city. By the legend, the foundation of Tbilisi came from hot sulfur springs. There were also conducted archaeological excavations and were found ancient strata of the city. Through the area Passes the rivulet of Legvtahevi. Her beautiful canyon was hidden for decades, and only now has been reconstructed - returned to its historic appearance. Meydan - central square of the old town, which was formerly a commercial center of the city and nowadays is currently surrounded by cafe bars. The Sharden area is full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine-tasting bars, and souvenir shops. Bridge of peace. Gabriadze Theatre. Freedom Square. Rustaveli avenue. New-Tiflis - part of David Aghmashenebeli avenue. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

26/09 - Day 2. Tbilisi – Gelati - Kutaisi (250 km).

09:00 Departure towards Kutaisi. Visit monastery Jvari up on a hill - a Georgian Orthodox monastery from the 6th century. Excursion in Mtskheta – the former capital of Georgia Monuments of Mtskheta included in UNESCO World Heritage. Mtskheta was founded in the first half of the I millennium BC In the IV century BC since the formation of the East Georgian kingdom, the city ​​became the capital. Arrive In Kutaisi. Visit Gelati Cathedral - Gelati is a medieval monastic complex near Kutaisi in the Imereti region of western Georgia. A masterpiece of the Georgian Golden Age, Gelati was founded in 1106 by King David IV of Georgia and is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Check-in at the hotel during Leisure time. Evening excursion in Kutaisi - Visiting the ancient capital of Georgia, which is more than three thousand years old. Visit the central square and the famous Colchis Fountain. The Opera House – has recently been renovated with lines of classical statues. Drama Theatre – overlooking the picturesque central square. Overnight in Kutaisi or nearby.

27/09 - Day 3: Kutaisi – Khulo – Batumi (430 km round trip)

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast. 09:00 – Departure towards Adjara region. 13:30 - Arrive in Khulo - a townlet in Adjara. The town and adjoining 78 villages form the mountainous Khulo District, which has an area of 710 km² and a population of 23,327. Meeting elder People from the Khulo Municipality. On the way back discover the seaside with its nice beach promenade or the city of Old Batumi - free time for 1 hour. Return to Kutaisi. Overnight in Kutaisi or nearby.

28/09 - Day 4. Kutaisi – Borjomi – Vardzia (250 km)

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast. 09:00 - Departure towards Borjomi - famous for its geothermal spring mineral water resources. Its accessible location in the beautiful Lesser Caucasus Mountains attract tourists in a search for nature, escape, and enlightenment tourism opportunities year-round. 12:00 Visit Borjomi Park and taste mineral water coming from the underground. Have a walk in Borjomi Park. 14:00 Departure from Vardzia. 16:00 Visit Vardzia cave town - located in the historic region of Samtskhe-Javakheti and consists of 600 rooms, excavated from the slopes of the Erusheti The mountain on the left bank of the Mtkvari River. The main period of construction was the second half of the 12th century. Vardzia is a rock-carved fortress stretched over 500 meters. It can freely be called the Honor of Georgians. This cave town is a monument of Georgian history, culture, and religion. It should be mentioned that the site is included in the UNESCO world culture heritage list as one of the most unique rock-hewn towns. 19:00 Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Vardzia.

29/09 - Day 5: Vardzia – Asureti – Bolnisi (250 km)

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards German village. Visit Asureti (Elisabethtal) – a German village in Georgia. This was once a thriving German town with its own wine factory, Fachwerk houses and a Protestant church in the main square. The first German colonies in eastern Georgia was established in 1818-1819: Elisabethtal (today Asureti), Marienfeld and Petersdorf (both now parts of Sartichala), New-Tiflis (now part of David Aghmashenebeli Avenue), Alexanderdorf (now Akaki Tsereteli Avenue), and Katharinefeld (today Bolnisi). Arrive in Bolnisi. There are only 300 houses in the German neighborhood in Bolnisi and only 156 of them have maintained their original appearance. 200-Year old barrels are still preserved in the basements of some of the houses. Each house's attic here had a triangle shape. Visit Bolnisi Sioni church - a three-nave basilica of the early medieval period, which is remarkable for preserving the oldest inscriptions of the Georgian Alphabet and the unique Cross of Bolnisi. 30/09 - Day 6: Bolnisi – Telavi

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Kakheti the wine region through Gombori pass – It is a mountain chain in the Georgian part of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Located in the province of Kakheti in eastern Georgia and extends a distance 107 km. with the highest mountain (1.991m. above sea level). Excursion in Telavi. Have a Georgian wine tasting. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Telavi.

01/10 - Day 7: Telavi

The exploratory tour of the first week took to places that are related to the topic of age from different points of view: to the Caucasian mountains of Adjaras, where people live up to 120 years, to the cave monastery of Vardzia, where monks lived ascetically into old age and to the settlements of the early German emigrants of the last century who dared to start a new life in an unknown country. After this exploratory tour linked to “classic” old age, the workshop gives the opportunity to the participants to approach the issue of ageing from a very personal point of view and to discover how to stay young in modern times. Based on the author’s research on old age and on her 4 books related to the issue of personal development and creative ageing, the workshop unfolds the whole range of the potential that lies in ageing and encourages to defend happily, inspired old age in society. The workshop takes place in Kakheti, the charming wine region of Georgia.  The workshop starts on 01/10 in the afternoon (free time in the morning) and ends on 04/10 in the evening with live music.
