Day 1: Kutaisi – Tbilisi

Arrival in Kutaisi. Early check-in at the hotel. Free time for rest. 12:00 City tour in Kutaisi - the ancient capital of Georgia. Visit central square and the famous Colchis Fountain. Opera House – Kutaisi’s opera house has recently been renovated with lines of classical statues. Drama Theatre – overlooking the picturesque central square. Cross the White bridge. Bagrati Cathedral – From the Chain Bridge, we will walk up cobbled streets to the stately Bagrati Cathedral on a hill. The cathedral was built in 1003 and restored in 2012. Overnight in Kutaisi.

Day 2: Kutaisi-Uplitsikhe-Mtskheta-Tbilisi.

Transfer to Tbilisi. On the way, visit Uplitsikhe - one of the Kartli region's most exciting and important monuments.  Upliscikhe is an ancient town carved in rock, built in the 6th century BC. Here are the remains of an amphitheater, several temples, and market place. The city has been abandoned since the 13th century. Visit  Mtskheta - founded in the first half of the I millennium BC In the IV century BC since the formation of the East Georgian kingdom, the city ​​became the capital. Monuments of Mtskheta are included in the UNESCO World Heritage. The monastery Djvari - VI century is on the hilltop, from there opens a beautiful view of the city and you can see the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi. Arrival in Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3: Tbilisi. City tour in Tbilisi.

 Metekhi Church of the Blessed Virgin -  built in the fifth century and rebuilt in the 13th century.  From there it is shown the panoramic views of the old town which tourists will explore during the next few hours.  There is also a statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali - founder of Tbilisi. Visit Park Rike and take cable cars to Narikhala fortress. For a few minutes, you will be traveling by cabins and enjoying an unusual view of Old Tbilisi. From the upper ropeway station, you will overlook the old city and the botanical garden. Narikhala fortress – exists since the mid-4th century.  The fortress is built on a hill, therefore there is a splendid view of the old city. The District of sulfur baths and Legvtahevi –  is located in the center of the city. According to the legend, the foundation of Tbilisi is connected to hot sulfur springs. There were also conducted archaeological excavations and were found ancient strata of the city. Through the area passes the rivulet of Legvtahevi. Its beautiful canyon was hidden for decades, and only now has been reconstructed - returned to its historic appearance. Meydan - the central square of the old town, which was formerly a commercial center of the city and nowadays is surrounded by cafe bars. Rustaveli Avenue and architecture from the 19th century. Optional: Dinner at a traditional Georgian restaurant - 30 per person. In the evening we offer dinner at the Georgian restaurant with a folklore show. The repertoire of the show program: Adjarian dance, “Mtiuluri”, “Rachuli” and Wedding Dance. Also, the program includes live music, Georgian pop songs, and songs in the voices. This is really a very exciting show! Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 4: Kakheti – wine region. Gombori-Telavi-Gremi-Kvareli-Signagi-Bodbe

Departure to Telavi through Gombori pass – It is a mountain chain in the Georgian part of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Located in the province of Kakheti in eastern Georgia it extends at a distance of 107 km. with the highest mountain (1.991m. above sea level). Tour in Telavi - city ​​of the XVIII century - the residence of the kings of Kakheti. Visit Gremi - This is the most famous place in the area of the whole Kakheti. In a narrow sense, this is a castle and temple. Both were built in 1563 by the king of Kakheti Levan. Visit winery Khareba in Kvareli - established upon the ancient traditions. The company works on the maintenance of the unique vine culture and winemaking both using ancient methods and modern technologies; consequently, the Company produces high-quality wines. In Kvareli wine is kept in a 7.7 km long tunnel cut off in the stone massif of the Caucasian mountain range. The massif includes granite surrounded by shale layers. At any time of the year, the temperature is 10C-11C. Wine is being aged there in oak barrels. Optional: Have wine-tasting with snacks and a master class on making Khachapuri – a Georgian traditional meal and Churchkhela – traditional sweet - €15 per person. Wine-tasting – 2 kinds of wine - €10 per person. 4 kinds of wine - €20 per person. Departure to the Sighnaghi. City tour in Sighnaghi - “city of love”, as it’s one of the most popular places for couples, surrounded by defensive walls and towers.  From Sighnaghi there is a beautiful view of the Alazani valley, a boundless space stretching on the horizon. During the Sighnaghi tour, we also visit the Bodbe Monastery (built-in 9th century) of Saint Nino (the saint, who preached Christianity in Georgia), which is 2 km away from Sighnaghi. Here is the grave of Saint Nino and her holy spring – the sites visited by believers from all over the world. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5: Tbilisi-Batumi

Early breakfast. 07:15 Check-out and drive to Tbilisi train station. Departure to Batumi — city ​​and port in Georgia, The coast of black see, the main tourist center of modern Georgia. Arrive in Batumi. Batumi – City Tour. Old Batumi. The growth and development of modern Batumi began in the Por to Franco period in the XIX century and continued more rapidly later on. Batumi, with its first rank port and well-developed industry, held a significant place in Georgia and the Caucasus as one of the most important transit and industrial centers. In 1903 29 factories functioned here. A lot of European commercial and industrial companies such as, “O.F.Gillard”, “Siemens and Halske”, “Schuft and Zimmerman”, “Varneke and Company”, and” Nobel Brothers” were doing their business in Batumi. Visit Georgian Alphabetic Tower – 130 m tall, the aim of the tower is to introduce the unique and rich culture of the country to the world. Batumi Sea Port – is the largest port in Georgia and it serves as a significant oil exporter point. Batumi Seaside Boulevard – one of the charms of the city, established in 1881. It stretches along the seashore like a green line. Its length is about 1,5 km. St. Barbara’s Church – located close to Batumi Boulevard, built by British troops. The hospital remained during the communist regime. “6 May Park“ and the Nurigeli Lake. “6 May Park“ is one of Batumis' beauties. The Park is situated around Nurigeli Lake. Holy Mother Virgin’s Nativity Cathedral. In the XIX century the famous Georgian catholic benefactors, the Zubalashvili brothers, built a cathedral. Today it is known as a Holy Mother Virgin’s Nativity Cathedral. Sculpture of Love “Ali and Nino”. The Love statue which was built on the Coast in Batumi Seaside Park is based on one of the best seller novels by Kurban Said. The height of the statue is 9 m and it weighs 7 tons. Visit One of the major tourist sights – «Batumi Piazza», which is fully implemented in the Italian style. This is a small area, where several restaurants and small boutique hotels are located. Every corner of the city is different. The musical fountain – in the Sea Side Park offers the visitors classical and national music every evening. Overnight in Batumi.

Day 6: Batumi – Mestia.

Continue trip to Mestia. Visit Enguri Dam - a hydroelectric dam on the Enguri River in Georgia. Currently, it is the world’s second-highest concrete arch dam with a height of 271.5 meters (891 ft). It is part of the Enguri hydroelectric power station. Arrive in Mestia in the evening. Despite the small size, the city was an important center of Georgian culture for centuries and contains a number of medieval monuments – churches and fortresses – included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.     Overnight in Mestia.

Day 7: Mestia

Hiking to the ski resort Hatsvali, which is 8 kilometers from Mestia. The road goes through a pine forest. Take a cable car for the most beautiful views of Mestia. Visit villages: Latali and Lemjeri, located near Mestia town containing churches decorated with medieval frescos and murals. Optional: Visit Ethnographic Museum. This small mountain museum provides a rich exposition, ready to argue with the collection of any European museum. It exhibits a collection of valuable items made out of gold and silver at different times: Icons, jewelry, chasing, hunting equipment, military armor, coins, and many other masterpieces of applied art. All this stuff was voluntarily donated by parishioners to the church (this is an ancient tradition of the mountaineers of Georgia). This unique place occupies a rich collection of ancient Georgian manuscripts IX-XI centuries. Overnight in Mestia.

Day 8: Mestia

Free day in Mestia. Optional: Visit village Ushguli for 50 per person. Ushguli - a community of four villages, is located at the head of the Enguri gorge in the Svaneti region. Ushguli is one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements. It is included in UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ushguli has been "saved" by its particularly inaccessible location, which helped preserve the village's timeless feel. On the way, we’ll stop to visit the villages Ipari and Kala to see the small churches which still preserve medieval murals and frescos. Overnight in Mestia.

Day 9: Mestia – Zugdidi - Kutaisi

Drive towards Kutaisi. On the way visit Zugdidi and the Dadiani museum – Western Georgia’s royal family. The museum complex includes palaces of the Samegrelo Queen Ekaterine Chavchavadze-Dadiani and Prince Niko Dadiani, a court church, and the botanic garden. In the museum, there are kept relics of Samegrelo princes, royal families of France – numerous items connected with the Napoleon Buonaparte; libraries of Napoleon (6.000 items) and Dadiani family. Visit Prometheus Cave. Excursion to the Prometheus cave – one of Georgia’s natural wonders providing visitors with breathtaking examples of stalactites, stalagmites, waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers, and lakes. Overnight in Kutaisi.

Day 10: Kutaisi.

 

Free time in Tbilisi to visit Museums, Galleries, Agro-markets, Souvenir shops and etc. Transfer to the airport.
