GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT TOUR

This group tour is an amazing opportunity for first timers and for those who are eager to find out about Tbilisi and Georgia.  The tour includes special and popular sightseeings of Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Kakheti region.

THIS TOUR TAKES 3-4 HOURS AND MOST PART IS WALKING, SO YOU WILL NEED COMFORTABLE SHOES, SUNGLASSES, UMBRELLA (IN CASE OF RAIN) HAT, ETC.

Tour Plan

DAY 1: TBILISI

Arrival in Tbilisi. Transfer from airport. Accommodation at the hotel. Evening walk in Tbilisi. Taking cable car to Narikala Fortress to enjoy breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Visit Sulphur bath district and Legvtahevi. Meydan – central area, which before was shopping area of the city and at the present time surrounded by cafe – bars. Sharden area full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops. Visit The clock tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze Pupet Theatre. After walking tour have dinner at Georgian restaurant with different kind of Georgian dishes and folklore show. The repertoire of the show program: Adjarian dance, “Mtiuluri”, “Rachuli” and Wedding Dance. Also, the program includes live music, Georgian pop songs and songs in the voices. This is really a very exciting show! The cost of 25 USD per person.

Day 2: Mtskheta-Chateau-Mukhrani

Departure towards to small town Mtskheta.

Monuments of Mtskheta are included in the UNESCO World Heritage.

Visiting an ancient monastery Jvari (VI century.) on the top of a hill.

Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (1010-1029 gg.).

Depart to winery Chateau-Mukhrani – based on the historical tradition of wine-making in the village Mukhrani, the best place for lovers of fine wines and romantic adventures. Today the cellar is fully reconstructed and stores more than 1000 barrels of wine at constant temperature of 16C.

Vineyards of the Chateau are located in specially selected areas of the region. This tour offers a glimpse into history and acquaint you with the fascinating legends of the Georgian royal family, feel the aroma of antiquity and taste fine wines of the highest quality. Have wine and chacha tasting with snacks (Not included in the price, $ 15 per person).

Return in Tbilisi.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3: Sighnaghi-Tbilisi

City tour in Sighnaghi – “city of love”, as it’s one of the most popular places for bride-couples, surrounded by defensive walls and towers.  From Signagi there is beautiful view on the Alazani valley, boundless space stretching to the horizon. Within Signagi Tour we also visit the Bodbe Monastery (built in 9th century) of Saint Nino (the saint, who preached Christianity in Georgia), which is 2 km away from Signagi. Here is the grave of Saint Nino and her holy spring – the sites visited by believers from all over the world.

Master class of Georgian traditional food – Khachapuri and Georgian sweet Churchkhela (not included in the price, $ 20 per person).

Overnight in Sighnagi.

Day 4: Sighnagi-Kvareli-Tsinandali-Telavi-Gombori pass

Visit unique winery Khareba in Kvareli.

Winery and cellar are located in a tunnel of 7700 metres lenghs carved in the rock of the Caucasus Mountain Range.

The tunnel consists of two main parallel tunnels and 13 smaller perpendicular ones.

  

Degustation of wine and master class on baking Georgian bread and making Churchkhela – a traditional Georgian candle-shaped candy. The main ingredients are grape must, walnuts and flour.

Continue tour to Tsinandali museum with a decorative park.

In 1835 there was built one of the first in Georgia wine cellar, where are kept unique collection of wine from many countries (16 500 bottles).

 

Visit Telavi – heart of Kakheti region – located on the Alazani valley. Visit agro market in Telavi with great walnuts, tasty Georgian Churchkhelas and wide variety of Georgian spices.

Return to Tbilisi through Gombori pass.

Day 5: Tbilisi

Visit Dry bridge  the most famous flea market in Georgia located at the bridge, which is more than 160 years old.

Visit Sarajishvili Brandy factory – rich and unique collection of “Sarajishvili House” is based on the long-lasting experience, work of talented technologists and the pursuit of excellence.

We offer four different tours (NOT included in the price):

VS tour – includes the tasting of 5* and VS brandies.

VSOP tour – includes the tasting of 5*, VS and VSOP brandies.

XO tour – allows visitors to taste 5*, VS, VSOP and XO brandies.

VIP – allows visitors to taste 30-years aged brandy.

Transfer to the airport.
